A fun and professional team, The Word PR always go the extra mile. Flexible, reliable, speedy and a pleasure to work with, they take the time to understand how I work and exactly how they can help me.
Nancy Wedge, Editor - EDP Norfolk
It was a pleasure working with the team on the Earth from the Air project at the Forum in Norwich. The Word managed to tread the line very deftly between regular contact and being a bit too persistent (which is often a problem in PR…).
Nikki O’Donnell, Editor - BBC Look East
The Word has always been very pro-active in getting in contact with our newsroom but they are not a pushy organisation which some of the London based companies can be. The staff are always friendly and helpful and do their best to meet our interview requests. They are also very prompt in responding which is important for a newsroom with tight deadlines.
Jen Dale, News Editor - 99.9 Radio Norwich
It’s always a pleasure dealing with the guys from The Word, because not only are they always friendly and cheerful, they bend over backwards to try and get you what you need as quickly as they can.
David Powles, News Editor - Norwich Evening News.
Clients
The Word have always delivered our PR campaigns creatively, maximising the effect from the spend made. I feel that they have a genuine desire to work on our account and a commitment and enthusiasm to get the best results.
Vicki Hall, Marketing & Communications Officer, Active Norfolk
The Works have been our design and PR partners on two major projects in the last 12 months. I use the term partner deliberately because this is the type of the relationship that we have enjoyed with them. What has stood out for me has been their creativity, enthusiasm, ability to quickly get under the skin of the project and their sheer professionalism.
Mark Hand, Marketing Manager, The Forum Trust Ltd
When you take on a PR agency you have to consider two questions - will they deliver on their promises and will their results justify the budget spent? Dealing with The Word, the answer to both those questions is a resounding ‘yes’. The Word has impressed me most with their proactive attitude and innovative ideas which always hit the right target market. They are a pleasure to work with.
Maria Rowe, Assistant Director, Sportspark at UEA
The Word organised and ran a public consultation for one of Targetfollow’s major developments. The team’s input was professional and capable and the process went like clockwork. Since then we have retained the team as our PR specialists as the project develops. We know they’re always on hand to provide expert PR advice as well as an extra pair of hands when needed.
Adrian Goldney, Marketing Manager, Targetfollow

Thank you very much for looking after me so thoughtfully and efficiently. It was entirely stress-free for me because I didn’t have to think about any of the logistics, but instead do what I had come to do, try and enthuse and motivate the public.
Benedict Allen on the launch of Earth Event and Yann Arthus-Bertrand’s Earth from the Air Exhibition
I have been working with Swimathon to raise funds for Marie Curie Cancer for two years now, and this year was the first year we have launched the event at Sportspark in Norwich. Together, Swimathon, Sportspark and their PR consultancy, The Word, created one of the best roadshows I can remember. The event was well organised, well attended and the press and broadcast coverage was wide reaching.
